Ps3 stuck on updating

So I turned my internet connection off and started the game which worked.

Played a bit and then again tried the update with my connection back on. I have a whole bunch of characters that I think messed with the update process in the beginning before a person actually starts the game. I know I'm out of threat, but maybe can anyone help me, I have xbox 360 and I pre order the game from gamestop, and is in German because right now I living in Austria, my console is English every game start in English, only this doesn't, how can make it work, thank you and again sorry for out thread Freezes while playing occasionally.
